Well I don't like snakes, and fortunately never be across my way, but I like some poems from the Bible especially a part of it named songs of Solomon, this guy was writing a really good poem in the Bible.
Give me a kiss of your lips!
Your caresses are sweeter than the wine,

Delicious to the smell your perfumes,
Your name is a wasteful perfume.
Because of it, the women love you!

Women of Jerusalem,
I am brown but beautiful;
Brown bread like the camps of Staying,
Beautiful as the curtains of Solomon.

Do not be fixed in that I am brown,
Not in that the Sun has burned the skin(leather).
My brothers got angry with me
And they set me to take care of the vineyards,
And my own(proper) vineyard I was careless!
