What are common names where you come from?
Looking at the Idescat website, in Catalonia the most frequent male names are Antonio, José and Francisco, in terms of women the most common are María, Montserrat and Maria del Carmen
Is your family name common?
If, indeed, my last name is the most frequent in Spain and Catalonia, here are 169,794 people who share my last name.
Does your family name tell you anything about your family (e.g., where you come from)?
All my family known, except my younger brother and I, come from a small town in the interior of Valencia.
Some English names refer to trades or professions, such as Butcher or Baker. Does your name mean anything? Are there any names in your country that do?
My surname is patronymic, comes from a name that is equal to the surname, curiously, I know many people who have a last name Garcia, but I do not know anyone named Garcia.
Are any names from other countries popular in your country? Which ones?
A few years ago there was a plague of Anglo-Saxon names, now things have normalized but some children are named Eric, Dylan, Noah, etc.
In your country do you ever use surnames without a title (e.g., Mrs or Mr)? When could you do this? Why would you do it?
