Hi, I'm Ricard, from Barcelona.

1. Common names where I come from are Jordi, Montse, Mercè, Joan, Pol...
2. My family name is Benítez. It's not very common.
3. My family comes from Granada. My grandparents moved from there because of the spanish civil war.
4. No, I think my family name only means something like "Benito's son".
5. Now we live in a global and interconnected society, where people moves frequently from their country to one other. Here you can find names from anywhere, like Antoine, Fabrice, Skyler...
6. When you meet someone for the first time you can ask for his/her name with a polite or not polite question. It depends on, if he/she is an aged man/women you will use the polite one, of course.
7. At work, for example, we use formal language and we use Mr./Mrs. and surnames.
In a party with friends and people you don't know, you don't use titles and surnames.
8. In our language we use darling, love and little...

Thanks,
Ricard
