1. I’m from México. In my country, the most common names you can find are José, María, Pedro, Juan and some other names from the catholic religion.
2. My family name is Apolinar Bautista. Mexicans have two family names. Apolinar is not a common surname, at least in the part of Mexico where I live. On the contrary, Bautista is a very common surname.
3. Well, it kind of do. Apolinar has a greek reference and Bautista has a Spanish reference. So, I believe so.
I'm proud to be "mestizo"(a man of mixed race).
4. I don´t think that my family names are referred to as trades. Apolinar means "devoted to Apolo", who is a god from the Greek mythology and Bautista means "the one who baptizes".
5. In Mexico is very common to name kids after Spanish catholic saints. But also, people give American names to their kids, such as Dylan, Brayan, Michelle, Kevin, etc.
6. It´s very easy. If they are your friends you call them by their first name. If not, you address them with respect using Mr, Mrs, Miss.
7.No, never. You call people using a title and surname. example Good morning Mrs. García.
8. In my language, some common pet names could be cariño, cielo, amor, querida. It´s like saying darling, honey, love in English.
