1. What are common names where you come from?
Where I come from the most common names are Maria, Luis, José.

2. Is your family name common?
My last name is fairly common in my country, there are others more common like Rodriguez, Gonzalez among others.

3. Does your family name tell you anything about your family (e.g., where you come from)?
No, my surname does not tell me anything about where it comes from, but I have been told that there is a bird that has our surname.

4. Some English names refer to trades or professions, such as Butcher or Baker. Does your name mean anything? Are there any names in your country that do?
My name does not indicate anything about my profession, but in my country, if there are some last names that give information about trade or profession, for example, farmer, worker.

5. Are any names from other countries popular in your country? Which ones?
Yes, there are many names and surnames from other countries and regions, that has to do with the fact that there are a large number of migrants from other countries. The most common names are North Americans like Peter, Patrick, Lisa, Kimberly.

6. In your country when you meet someone for the first time, what name do you use? How do you know when you can use their first name?
When I meet a person, I only use my first name Luz, and I ask the other person, what is the name that they would like me to use to call them.

7. In your country do you ever use surnames without a title (e.g., Mrs or Mr)? When could you do this? Why would you do it?
In my country it is very common to use surnames without a title, when referring to young people, for example in schools and universities

8. There are common pet names in English that show affection, such as honey, darling or pet. What words are used in your language?
In my language, these types of words are also used, such as pastelito, manzanita, corazon
