Common names where I come from are Michele, Antonio and Lucia. My family name isn't common in my city. My family name don't tell me anything about my family, but some do. In my country there aren't any other countries popular names, I think. In my country, when I meet someone for the first time, I call the person by surname, even with a title...time by time I can use the first name to call a person, only if we'll have confidence. in my language there are many pet names, such as "little flower" for female babies or "little monster" for male ones.
