In your country

In your country

In my country, there have always been more specific jobs of each gender, for example: trucks were driven by men, machinery like an excavator was unthinkable for a woman....etc.
Fortunately this is changing and now it is common or normal to see woman driving trucks, buses, taxis or heavy machinery. Also women have been able to access management positions in companies, army, police, pilot an airplane......On the other hand, men have also expanded their trades and we found very good hairdressers for ladies, nurses (50 years ago this was not usual), make-up artists, caregivers of the elderly.
Another issue aside is the gender gap. There is still no salary equality in the same job and you find that a man in a managerial position, and within the same company can earn € 4000 more annually than a woman doing both the same job and with the same responsibility.
