1) I don't think it have to be a specific reason, theory or something like that. May be Nikki just feel comfortable with the dolphins and as he was excited to swim with them the ability to speak reach his mouth.
2) I think, as everything nowaday, is just a media exaggeration. Not everything has an explanation, somethings just happends by destiny.
3) I heard that dogs can decrease the pain in people with illnesses like cancer.
4) May be she had a really god job or she sold her house in order to be able to pay the trip.

1. I didn't have a theory about this, so its difficult to give an answer, because i don't have reasons or arguments to give an opinion about this.
2. Like I said, i really don't have reasons to tell if this therapy works. But with the story ok this boy, i think that animal therapy works with children, because experts say that animals have a good connection with children, so i conclude that in some form it helps.
3. I don't know a story, but i know about another animal therapy, and it is the equine therapy, this helps to the cognitive, physic, emotional and social development, of children with disability or with special needs.
4. I think that his mother collect funds, with the help of people that knows the case of his sun, because in most of these cases thats what the family do.
I would make a campaign or also if I know for a long time that my son have a disability, i would ave money for the therapies.
