Misundertand and mispronounce

Misundertand and mispronounce

Hello everybody,

Well, I actually think that the story about Kumiko Tsuchida is real. It is not so difficult to misunderstand a person, who doesn’t speak your native language very well. I’m the opinion that my english and my pronunciation are not bad, but I must say, I’m not capable to pronounce Torquay and Turkey so that they sound different. What me really surprises is that Kumiko “forgot” his plan, I mean, he had a flight to Turkey! How can he forgot that he had to fly to Turkey?

Anyway I can say based on my own experience, that it is very very easy to mispronounced words in a language that is not your mothers one. For example, I always have difficulties with the word BEACH, I can’t pronounce it properly and people always think I say BITCH. And there’s a big difference between two concepts...so a little bit problematical without doubt.

LOL! Yes Ana, that's aclassic pron. mistake - bitch/beach! I can think of some other ones - but I won't write them! Thanks for writing, it's all good but can I help with 2 things?
I’m the opinion= I'm of the opinion / In my opinion...
I’m not capable to pronounce Torquay= I'm not capable of pronouncing (capable + of + -ing)
What me really surprises= Word order: What really surprises me is....
See you soon!
