I know another extrem sports like "puenting" in spanish, that you have tu jump to the void from a high bridge.
I never have tried any extrem sport, I think as the conversation, that I don't feel the day by day boring. I like other sports like running, marathons...well, maybe a marathon is a extrem sport, too.

Hi Tom thanks for your message. Yes, puenting is bungee jumping in English. Something I would never try! :) There was the case not so long ago of a teenager who died bungee jumping. The instructor said: "No jump!" But she heard "Go jump!" or something like that. So she died, because she wasn't attached to the harness. Like a nightmare. There are many lessons one can learn from this story..
One thing:
jump to the void = ..jump into the void / jump off a high place
I think as the conversation,= This is not quite complete: I think the same as the people in the conversation.
See you!
Pieter

I am not interested in extrem sports. So I don't know other extrem sports but I've been surfing internet and I've seen a page about this kind of sports. You can watch videos about people who are practicing different extrem sports. One of them is called " volcano surfing", also known as " volcano boarding". People who practice this sport uses a surfboard to get down from the top of the volcano to it's base. It's a long way down and it's very dangerous. You could pass near poisonous gases or molten lava.
People is crazy ! I think so. What do you think?

Some years ago I practiced rafting twice.
At first I thought it could be a dangerous activity but then I saw that it was not. Maybe what happens is that if you go with a great expectation of fear then everything seems less.
Then it happens that you take too much confidence thinking that there is no danger.
The first time I practiced rafting everything was very good and there was no problem.
The second time I started the activity very well but half way through a bad decision caused the guide and two companions fell into the water from the boat. There was a moment of chaos but we finally got everyone back on the boat.
The final lesson was that in any adventure sport there is a certain risk and we must be very cautious at all times and try to find solutions.

Hi Maria José:
I agree with you. I think these days the theme of adventure sports is being exaggerated. One thing is that some sports are practiced with a certain risk and another thing is that only the risk is looked for by the risk. Certain brands seek advertising sponsoring this type of activities.
