TV and me

TV and me

I know that there are people that actually likes commercials on TV, but it is not my case. I don’t like it.
I think that here in Spain, the programmes that have more viewers are sports, football specially, which I find very boring. I prefer TV series, I find it very exciting and enjoyable. My favourite channel is FOX because there you can watch TV series all day.
Elimination game shows are very popular too in my country. Now we can see programmes like “Masterchef”, about cooking, or “Survivors”, about living in an Island with minimal resources.
And, at home, we have only in the living-room 5 remote control.
I have never considered being a contestant on a reality show, I like it very much but only to watch it through the TV. I think it could be a very interesting experience but so stressful for me.
It is the same for children. It must be forbidden this kind of programmes for them. In my opinion, this insane competition couldn’t be good for them.

Advantages about reality shows:
It allows you to better understand yourself.
It’s a very interesting experience to know about the TV shows from the inside.
It allows you to get fame.
It could help you to know how strong you are.

Disadvantages:
You have to leave all your live out of the programme.
You are not allowed to have any communication with your friends or family.
You don’t have private moments with cameras recording you all day.
You have to live with unknown people 24 hours a day.

Thanks for your great message Raquel. Ui, I would hate to be in a reality show. For me it would be a kind of nightmare...The intrigue, the lack of privacy, talk talk talk about nothing? Horrible! :) I read that for some people the effects of being on this type of show are quite negative sometimes. If they are eliminated early in the season they can feel humiliated and sometimes going back to their normal lives is really difficult. I can imagine! :)
See you,
Pieter
