Biofuels are a wide range of fuels (solid, liquid or gases), which are in some way derived from biomass. Bioethanol, Biobutanol, Methanol are alcohols made by fermenting the sugar of plant materials (sugar and starch crops, cellulose, trees, grasses). It can be used as a fuel for vehicles but is usually used as a gasoline additive to improve the vehicle emissions. Biodiesel is made from vegetable oils, animal fats or recycled greases. It 's the more common in Europe.
Green diesel, obtained from oils including canola ,algae ... vegetable oil, bioethers, biogas obtained by anaerobic digestion of organic material. Syngas (a mixture of CO, hydrogen and other hydrocarbons), Solid biofuels (wood, sawdust, grass cuttings...) and advanced biofuels (cellulose, ethanol, algae fuel...).
