1. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever suffered from RSI or SAD?
Yes, I have got a friend who works in a cannery factory. Her work is repetitive and she suffers from RSI.
2. Do you make sure that you sit and type correctly when you use a computer or typewriter? Do you ever have pains in any parts of your body from using the computer for long periods of time?
I know the good way to sit and type, but unconsciously, I change it and often when I spend a lot of time typing I have hurt my neck.
3. What advice would you give to someone who has just bought a computer to prevent problems like RSI and aches and pains in the back, shoulders and arms?
The first thing to do is use the computer with moderation, is you need use it for a long time, it is convenient to do frequently breaks, and finally, to practice some physical exercises some times every day.
4. Do you think the exercises described in READING are very useful and effective?
Surely these exercises and other similar are effective to counteract several bad positions of the muscles
5. Do you do any exercises during or after working at a desk for a long period of time? Describe two.
I do two simple exercises some times a day:
a) Slowly I bend my head to the left towards my shoulder, after I bend my head to the right towards my shoulder too.
b) Gently I stretch my arms from behind to in front.
