1) Have you, or has anyone you know, ever suffered from RSI or SAD? No, I don’t know anyone. However it is difficult to suffer SAD in Spain.
2) Do you make sure that you sit and type correctly when you use a computer or typewriter? No, I don’t be sure. Do you ever have pains in any parts of your body from using the computer for long periods of time? Yes, I have usually pain in my neck and in my back.
3) What advice would you give to someone who has just bought a computer to prevent problems like RSI and aches and pains in the back, shoulders and arms?
Exercises for the neck: you should sit with your arms by your sides and look straight ahead, then you should bend the head to the left towards the shoulder, after you should repeat it to the right. You should hold the position for five seconds. Another important thing is the height of the screen of the computer, because your view should be in the centre of the screen.
For the arms and shoulders: you should bend your left arm and hold your left elbow with your right arm, then push your left arm over your right shoulder. You should repeat in the other side.
For RSI: you should always keep your wrists straight and flat and it is very important to do lots of breaks.
4. Do you think the exercises described in reading are very useful and effective? Yes, I think so, I'll to do some of them.
