1. Feng Shui. I like the Marc's answer about FS.
• What do you think about the information that you read about Feng Shui in the Reading section of the unit? Do you think it sounds interesting? Or do you think Feng Shui is just common sense? It was interesting. I suppose that the interior decorators and architects are very conscientious of that principles of human psychology and of the our common sense. It always is important to learn new things. That means that every profession has several ordinary knowledge, a art and one “how do”.
• Do you know anything else about Feng Shui? No, I don’t. But I suppose that I have heard or I’ve seen several things in the construction o decoration that uses the Feng Shui principles.
• Do you know anyone who has tried it or believes in it? No, I don’t.
• Do you know of any buildings or places where you live that are designed according to the principles of Feng Shui? I don’t know the designer’s intention, but I think he knew his profession.
Post your sentences on the Noticeboard in the Study Room. Read and comment on other students' sentences.
2. Your home.
• What type of home do you live in (a house, a flat etc.)? I’m living in a flat.
• How many rooms has your house got? Very much.
• Where is your house (in a town, in the country etc.)? I live in Barcelona.
• Choose two or three of the adjectives you looked at in Vocabulary 4 to
describe your house. Middle house is sunny and the other middle is bloomy. There are several bars and some nights are noisy (Tuesday-Sunday). The rooms are tidy but some wardrobe seems untidy.
• How is your home organised? (For example, 'the living-room is next to the bedroom.') My house contains several rooms and the living-room is in the extreme of the corridor, in the sunniest part. The dinning-room is near the hall and beyond it there’s the kitchen.
