It was founded by Levi Strauss who borin Bavaria in 1829 and emigrated to the USA at the age of 18. In 1853 Levi Strauss arrived to S, Francisco where he opened a branch of his brother's New York dry good business. He had rough canvas to use for tents and wagon covers. After he do pants for miners and he substituted rough canvas for cotton that was named denin and the pants were nijnamed blue jeans.
