Work injuries
1. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever suffered from RSI or SAD? No, I don´t know anyone that suffer from RSI or SAD.
2. Do you make sure that you sit and type correctly when you use a computer or typewriter? Do you ever have pains in any parts of your body from using the computer for long periods of time? I supose i don´t sit and type correctly when I use my computer because usually I have got a pain in my wrist and bach aches.
3. What advice would you give to someone who has just bought a computer to prevent problems like RSI and aches and pains in the back, shoulders and arms?
-Use ergonomics equipment
-Adaptive technology might be necessary
-To pause frequently and/or perform practices while working behind a computer is good.
-You must do exercises that are great for people who work with computers, as the yoga.
- Also, remember to take lots of breaks to give your body a chance to rest.
4. Do you think the exercises described in reading are very useful and effective?
Yes, I think these exercises are very useful.
5. Do you do any exercises during or after working at a desk for a long period of time?
To avoid getting aches sometimes I alternate hands with the mouse and usually I stretch the muscles of the back, slowly up and down, five or six times.
