Navajo language is spoken in the southwest USA by Navajo people. It comes from Athabaskan languages. The majority are spoken in Canada and Alaska. There are more than 140000 native speakers and this number is rising.
Some Navajos use this language as a form of every day communication at home.
The language is declining in urban areas.
There are four basic vowels in Navajo: a, e, i, o
