Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis designed the first pants in 1870. Jacob was the tailor who in the early 1870s first fashioned heavy cotton pants for miners.
Actors like Cary Grant, Clint Eastwood, James Dean, or politicians like Henry Kissinger influenced the image of jeans.
