The most situation acording to the Feng Shui desing would be to define the power areas first and ask the architect to desing the whole house around them. The areas where you are likely to spend most of your time are the best power areas. These areas can reside in the center and then you can have the whole house designed around it. The entrances to the house can be designed in a way that they receive the Chi or life force energy, from the most favorable directions for the building.

In the Kitchen:
The kitchen should have several levels of proper ligthing, be airy and spacious, clean bright and welcoming.
For good Feng Shui, keep the kitchen simple and don't overload in with gadgets.
Keep the clutter at bay.
Fresh flowers brings beautiful uplifting energy to your kitchen. Place a bowl with fruits, a vase of flowers or a living plant on yours kitchen table.

In the bedroom:
A desing element that should never be in the bedroom is a mirror facing the bed directly.
The pretty light blue cristal is perfect for the Feng Shui bedroom as well as areas of the home where you might congreate with family or meditate.
Never keep your working desk or computer in your bedroom!!!
Keep the strong colors such a bright yellow or orange to the kitchen or places where is activity. use the soothing colors for the bedroom.

In the living-room:
Make a fireplace the focus of the living-room rather than having a large TV and/or a collection of hi-fi equipment dominating the room.
A tank of fish is considered a wonderful thing for promoting luck, money, harmony and peace.
If your living-room is situated at the front of the house this is definitely a great place to have one.
Flowers and plants wil encorage good Chi and they'll soften any secrets arrows that are in the room.

In the bathroom:
Opposite the kitchen -the element of fire and water- will clash in this situation.
Avoid positiony the toilet directly opposite the front door, even if this is at the end of a passage.
Ideal colours fot the bathroom or the toilet include light greys, creams and pale blues.
To help counteract cash and opportunities being flushed away, consider keeping a bowl of pebbles on the shelf above the toilet or the cistern itself.
