1.- Grandfather Gordon was booking a restaurant for a family party. "The party," he said, "will consist of two
fathers, two mothers, one father-in-law, one mother-in-law, one daughter-in-law, one grandmother,
one grandfather, three sons, three daughters, two sisters, two brothers and four children." He was told the
restaurant only seated 18 - so could he have his party there?

2.- One day, two mothers and two daughters went shopping for shoes. Their shopping spree was successful — each bought
a pair of shoes, and all together, they had three pairs. How is this possible?
One of the mothers is the daughter of the other mother.
