As main advantages of modern technology I would like to highlight two aspects: the easy access to information and the improvement of communication ways. You can quickly talk to your relative overseas using a mobile phone or video chatting services like Skype.
On the other hand I would emphasize the following disadvantages of modern technology:
The people are spending more time playing video games, learning how to use new modern technologies, using social networks that in meeting people in real life. The humans need to interact with others; we has reduced our creativity and intelligence; and finally the modern technology has replaced many human jobs (robots).
