One of the most interesting story that I've found, is about Doctor David Nott, who moved in the congolese town of Rutshuru, where he worked as a volunteer. He had to amputated the arm of a young man who ran the risk of diyinf of gangrene.
He had never made an intervention like that and was a collegue, Doctor Meiron Thomas, Royal Marsden Hospital in London, who helped him by telephone messages which were the steps he had to do to continue the medical intervention.
