When I was child, I usually made boat papaer, them we made the following:
Fold the pape for midle, raise the flaps one for every side, fold the corners in order to obtain a triangle, open for below as if it was a cap, fold again towards each of the sides, and repeat step before and finally throw towards each of the sides and we have a boat.
We used it to play with the children in the classroom.
