1. Important qualities.
In a job interview, what qualities do you think impress an interviewer most?
appearance
qualifications
work experience
personality
Why?
Post your opinion on the Noticeboard in the Study Room. Compare it to the opinions of other students.
- Well, in my opinion, it depends of what kind of job are you looking for. It's normal, of you demmand a position in a model firm, the apparence is a great ally.
However, in dangerous works maybe better have a good experience. For comercials it could be nice have a charismatic personality. The qualification, i think, can open several doors, but I preffer other qualities.
2. Job interviews.
Have you been interviewed for a job? Was the experience good or bad?
Post your opinion on the Noticeboard in the Study Room. Read about the experiences of other students.
- I have been working since I was 19 at the same organization. Then, I don't remember too much well those interviews. But, like an anecdote, when I must to do the militar service, I didn't want to do it, and finally the judge called to me.
I was very nervous, and an old men with an agradable face received to me. I thought was my advocate. And I start to talk a lot of inconvenients and objections.
I told to him, that the problem wasn't the weapons or the militar service. I said "I don't want to spend a year of my life cleaning tanks. How can I get the white card?" then he smile and told me that he was the fiscal, and not my advocate.
Wahh! The white card arrives to me in the next week, I think they didn't want clumpsy people with a gun! :)
3. Job advice.
What advice would you give to someone about to go to their first job interview.
- Well I think, don't be nervous and prepare your interview. It's a good idea to get information of the activities of the organization.
