Toys you make

Postby Carme » Sun Oct 24, 2010 6:36 pm

When I was a child I used to build paper planes with my brothers and we played by throwing them away. The winner was the one of us that could maintain his plane the maximum time flying. We made them by folding up the paper for several times and giving to the paper a shape as a plane. If you folded it up in a determined way you could build a “jet” plane and it flew for more time than the other ones.

Hi Carme,

When I was a child I made paper planes too. We played with them at school. I think we used the same model as you and your brothers. We made the plane with an A4 sheet by folding it in half. Then we folded one corner of one side over the other (45 degrees angle). We did the same with the other side. Then we repeated twice the same operation folding again the two new sides. Finally, we threw it by holding the plane by the centre and opening the wings. Sometimes we threw it in the middle of a class!
