The history of the technique
Iridology is the Study Of The Patterns And Markings In The Iris Of The Eye.
For over a hundred years, various Iridologists have studied these patterns
and markings, correlating them with specific health problems, physical strengths
and weaknesses and personality traits. Through these empirical observations,
Iridologists have noted certain constitutional patterns. That is to say,
people with similar eye patterns tend to have similar personality traits and
health profiles.
How the technique works
The iris of each eye is examined using illuminated, magnifying lenses.
Each organ and body system is represented in the iris and can usually
be assessed for efficiency and/or potential weakness. Many health issues
may relate to dysfunction in organs thought not to be directly connected
(i.e. headaches and the liver).
Some concrete examples
A brown iris with cramp rings. Cramp rings look like concentric circles
going around the iris, formed by a crimping of the iris fibres. There may
be on or more, and they can start at any part of the iris, going around
the entire iris or only a portion. This iris has several light gold cramp rings.
Cramp rings indicate muscle tension in the body. People with many cramp
rings will benefit greatly from a series of massages.
Many people with brown eyes actually have blue eyes with a brown or gold overlay.
The brown or gold indicates toxin accumulation in their connective tissue.
This is a very common sign, and one that is quite easy to see even without an
iriscope.
