Kay Burley, the Sky News anchor, who is believed to have collapsed at work on Wednesday
Sean O'Neill, Crime Editor
Scotland Yard sources confirmed that Ms Burley _had contacted_ her local police station to raise her concerns. It is understood that senior officers _have met_ to assess the situation and that officers close to Miss Burely's home and Sky's west London headquarters are on alert.
A Yard spokesman said: "We _have received_ an allegation from a woman and inquiries are continuing."
George, 48, a convicted *censured* attacker, _was jailed_ for the murder of Miss Dando, 37, a BBC newsreader and presenter, in 2001. She _was shot_ dead by a lone gunman on the doorstep of her home in Fulham, west London, in 1999.
George's murder conviction _was quashed_ by the Court of Appeal after serious doubts _were raised_ about the validity of firearms residue said to _have been found_ on his coat. A retrial was ordered and resulted in George, 48, being cleared by an Old Bailey jury.
In a number of interviews after his release, he admitted to behaving oddly around women but said he was a changed man. He robustly denied any involvement in Miss Dando's murder.
Miss Burley _was offered_ personal security following that incident, which remains in place.
