Walt Disney's most famous character, made his screen debut on November 18, 1928, as star of the first sound cartoon.

Mickey Mouse turns 80 years old this month, and there's not a gray hair on him. Sure, he's a little rounder, a little squatter, and he's been wearing the same clothes for decades, but all in all he looks pretty good.

- Silent films:
A silent film is a film with no synchronized recorded sound, especially spoken dialogue. Joseph Frank "Buster" Keaton (October 4, 1895 – February 1, 1966) was an Academy Award-winning American comic actor and filmmaker. Best known for his silent films, his trademark was physical comedy with a stoic, deadpan expression on his face, earning him the nickname "The Great Stone Face" [1](referencing the Nathaniel Hawthorne story about the "Old Man of the Mountain").[2] He has also been called "The Michelangelo of Silent Comedy".
