I did a search in http://www.google.pt and I found the site http://mycareer.com.au . This site has many employment opportunities. As I will be an electrical engineer, I was hoping to find my ideal employment.
I found a consultancy company. Their customers are leaders in the area of power generation worldwide. This company actually supplies electrical engineer for 75 different countries. They specialize in traditional fuels of power generation, but they also are one of the leaders in developing sustainable and renewable energy sources.
Next, I will describe the employment offer.
Responsibilities will include:
- An Electrical Engineer with experience on large scale power generators up to 600MW
- Someone who can provide expert advice on large generators as well a knowledge of overhaul and refurbishment
- Knowledge and technical expertise involved in rewinding of generator rotors and stators
- Be able to liaise with the mechanical and electrical staff to provide technical solutions for the generators
- Someone would definitely be favored with precious experience in various generator tests
Ideally the qualification needed will be:
- A person with an Electrical Engineering qualification
- Someone with experience on large motors or large motors with regards fault analysis and design
- With at least 4 years previous experience within the power industry
- Great communication skills and an ability to be able to liaise with and various engineer and commissioning staff
- Previous experience within the Power Generation industry an emphasis on Electro/Mechanical generating systems
I would really like to work in this electrical engineering area. However, the companies want people with a large experience, and as I’m finishing the course, I haven’t any experience of work. I hope to have an opportunity some day later.
