Films and you

Unfortunalety, I don’t go to the cinema very often. I prefer going to the video club and hire a film. It’s cheaper than cinema and more comfortable, although quality and sound are better in the cinema.
I don’t know what films are popular. Maybe Spider-Man 3, La Vida de los Otros (Das Leben der Anderen), El Niño de Barro or the film about Elisabeth II...
I would like to go to the cinema more often, but at present is not possible especially for the duties family and laziness.

Your favourite films

I like thrillers a lot and the good films, of course. For example I like the films directed by people as Stanley Kubrick or Stephen Frears (Clockwork Orange, Spartacus, Dangerous Liaisons), as well as, some westerns and classical films.
Currently, I hardly ever go to the cinema, but if you want to go to the movies, I have seen some films in the cinema guide that could be interesting. For exmple: History Boys, Bamako, El Niño de Barro, etc.

Films for your country

Some films directed by Ventura Pons are set in Barcelona or Catalonia.
Animals Ferits, El Gran Gato or Food of Love (Menja d’Amor) have been shown to numerous cinema festivals and have got prizes and good reviews. Also, he has the merit of making films in Catalan in spite of commercial difficulties that this can entail.
I believe that some Ventura Pons’ films can help you to know the Catalonia’s territory and culture. Moreover, his fims are usually amusing or funny.
