ILARGIA = Moon. The literal meaning of the basque word is the light of the undead. Ilargia is Amalur´s (1) daughter. According to the Basque mythology , the sun (EGUZKIA) and the moon (ILARGIA) came from within the earth, and they returned to it after a daily walk. God's face is moon. He sheds light on the spirits of the dead, and from there the name comes from 'the light of the undead'. The worship of the goddess Moon had strong roots in Basque citizens. Friday was a special day in the Basque week, which was the day that was offered to the Moon. Fridays and witches came together. On Fridays, there were also certain prohibited activities: to undertake important works, to bring the herd to the mountain, to remove honey from the beehives, etc. Every day she walks around the world and returns to her mother's room ( AMALUR )
