research on the web

Research on the Web:

On the web I could found me very easy, because I work in the catalan administration and it’s easy to know where I work on www.gencat.cat
I could found just another Eva Ayats on the web. She is an actress and she has won several catalan cinema rewards.

It seems there are not many Ayats out of Catalonia. Many Ayats are politicians or people linked to politics (me too I am studying Politics!).
I found also two university professors called Ayats. I am glad to see that many important Ayats are women! I also found one Joan Ayats (like my father) who was a republican prisoner of Franco in the “Valle de los Caídos”. The family of my father was republican so this man could be a relative of my grand father.
I had never searched information of my family name on internet before and I have found it very exiting!

My name is Montse Morales. I’ve found out that my family name is from Santander. Morales is the 94th most popular surname in the United States and the 16th most common Hispanic surname.
I’m really surprised because I’ve found out an English learning website by a woman with the same name as me!

Well, I never took a single minute to do this, but today I have learnt about the place where my surname became. It seems to be registered that the “Ros” family name has its first apparition in Navarra, and from this place spreads along Aragon, Catalonia and Murcia namely.
In fact, my particular “Ros” came with my grandfather from La Unión (Murcia) to Barcelona (Catalonia), 100 years ago, but, unfortunately, no idea of an ancient genealogy.

Incredible!! I found 10 matches with my same First and Family name… One is an student that’s living near to me, the other is from Valencia and is a triathlon athlete, and the rest are widespread all over America.

I've found my family name is originally from Castellon and there they wrote it with "r" at the end of the word, because it refers to a profession. But when it arrived in Catalonia they removed the "r" and left with the final "é" (pronounced the same). Families who have wanted have requested to return to original form. This is what my family did. In fact I know other people with the same name but with the way finished in "é".
A curious thing I found, was that my name is in the records of Catalonia of the fifteenth century.
I found a great number of people named like me.
There’s a painter in Pamplona. One is a trainer and rider of horses. There’s one dedicated to grow up dogs. Another one is a doctor in Castellon. There’s one who works like a music teacher.
I found many more entries but a lot of them there aren’t enough information.

I’ve tried to find something about the origin of my family name on the web and I haven’t been successful. However, I realise that there are at least two women named like me. I Knew about one of them because some years ago I received a mistaken email sent to a person named like me, asking me for some university notes about statistics. I answer the email apologising myself because hopefully I’ve had finished my university fifteen years ago but I haven’t keep my statistics class notes.
About the other person called like me I’ve found up that she is a teenager and writes in a blog. Who Know, may be in my spare time I follow her blog.
