Australian aboriginal art has really surprised me, I find it completely original and unique; as well as really nice. Searching in the web it is possible to find many sites about these surprising pictures, where it's possible to look for dozens of drawings galleries, know the artists that nowadays are dedicated to this art, and even buy their works.
It's surprising that this form of expression still keep alive, specially if we take into account that European colonists that arrived to Australia in the 18th century destroyed a great amount of the aboriginal legacy. This richness goes back to 60.000 years ago, a long period when aboriginal culture barely changed; in fact, Australian Aboriginal culture canclaim to be the oldest continuous living culture in the planet. It's really a pity, because Aboriginal Culture is based on some principles that we should take into consideration, as the respect to nature resources and landscapes, which they reverence and consider sacred.
