No, they don’t. It’s a so common family name that nobody knows where it comes from. I only know that means "son of Martin."

Martin is from the Latin "Martinus," a derivitive of "Mars," the Roman god of fertility and war Are there any names in your country that do? I don’t remember names who mean professions or trades but there is many of them are from the Latin.
