Sherlock Holmes was not a real person. He was a fictitious character invented by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887.
At the beginning, the author of this detective novel didn't want to call him as Sherlock Holmes, if not he had thought to call him Sherrinford.
Nowadays, he is considered as an popular icon culture because you can find him in theater, soap operas and novels.

Some quiz questions can be:

1-. Does he look like?
2-. Does he smoke a pipe?
3-. Has he got a brother? If so, is he older or younger than him?
4-. When he was born?
5-. Did he have any enemies? Who?

This is some information I have found on the Net.

Yes, I agree with you Paula, Sherlock Holmes is a fictitious character who was the protagonist of four detective stories and about fifty-six narratives.

I think Sherlock Holmes is tall, thin and he has a big noise. He smokes a pipe.

Well, other quiz questions can be :

- Which musical instrument does he play?
- What kind of drug does he consume?
- Where does he live?
- Where did he know Watson?

Hi Paula and Eva,
I have found on the Net some information too. Furthermore I have discovered several things about Sherlock Holmes that I didn’t know.

I agree with Eva, Sherlock Holmes is tall, thin and he has a big noise.

I would like to have some questions:

• Who did it represented more times?
• Can we consider that Dr. House is a modern Sherlock Holmes?
• Has the same relationship Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson than Dr. House and Dr. Wilson?
. Who is the best investigation Holmes or House?
