Some examples of non-tradicional works for women are drivers of ambulance, police officers, electricians, engineers, public works, professions of construction, fire fighters.

I have found this link where you can see the first fire fighter woman in Canarias and the first woman taxi driver in Spain.

I recommend you too the Work4Women project offers a broad overview of the topic including common misconceptions and links to assistance in finding and maintaining a non-traditional occupation. But is a web from 1998 and their latest news are from 1999 ;-(

I'm a woman engineer and in this moment I am working in a team which the rest of the people are old engineer men. The dialy situation is very difficult because all they think that are better than me and all the time they remember me this with sexist comments.

One year ago I was working in other group with phisics, engineers,... men and women and it was very different. All the people had a respect for the other one.

So the society has advanced a lot but the reality is not perfect. There are a lot of things still to change and, for example, give people, woman or man, a correct treatment in my opinion is essential!
