I think that it can be possible that dolphins help humans to speak in a real life. Dolphins are very similar as chimpanzees, and they are as intelligent as them. So, if we descend from the chimpanzees, why dolphins can't help us?
For this reason, I think that dolphins can help us in many aspects of our life.

Sometimes qualified people to help people are not capable of doing this and they have to try to find other solutions such as animal therapies or natural medicine.

Regarding Nikki's family, I think they are a well-off family, because if not, they hadn't been able to spend this huge amount of money in this dolphin treatment.

I think that Nikki discovers with the dolphins the way for beginning to speak. I suppose that Nikki knows the sounds and words but he didn’t know how to express it, how to speak and the dolphins woke up this ability.
I don’t know if dolphins helped Nikki because his parents took him to different therapys ant it could be the mix of these therapys or the help of the dolphins.
I’ve known some stories about help from dogs. They seem to be useful with people with depression, difficulties of expression and even with autism children.
I suppose that Nikki’s mother raised the money demanding it to relatives, friends or took it from her saving or maybe she mortgaged the house. If I should raise this money I would demand to relatives and friends and I would look for other job.
