I think really the story is true because if someone doesn't know the place very well, it's very easy that she or he goes wrong somewhere.
But when a tourist goes to another country for the first time, it's very important planning the way before going there. I believe everyone must do the same.
On the other hand, it's true that when you go somewhere for the first time, at the beginning is not very easy to locate yourserlf.
2. Misunderstandings.
Anything has happened to me because I mispronounced a word o name in another language. It's true that when I went to a different country several times I had to repeat what I said because they didn't understand me.
