1. An experiment.
Do an experiment with friends or colleagues. Ask them to draw a picture of a truck driver, a doctor, a nurse and a kindergarten teacher on a piece of paper. Compare their drawings. Have they drawn men or women in these jobs?
Generally I don’t believe in the difference between the draws. I believe more the ability or the difference between the man or woman that have a very good hand to draw.
2. In your country.
Answer the questions about your country.
Which jobs are traditionally for men and which are for women?
Traditionally in my country the people is very traditional. Until now all the jobs for women following being from the women, for example in the food shops, the clothes shops, in the bakery, the shops for clothes for women, and others jobs.

Is this situation changing now?
Yes, the situation is changing because the women are better trained than the men. Is a reality that the doctors, pharmacist, and very often jobs traditionally for men now are for woman. The world is changing.
Post your ideas on the Noticeboard in the Study Room.
3. Search.
Use the Internet to find out what the gender gap in earnings is.
Find examples of men doing jobs that were previously considered to be women's jobs and women doing men's jobs.
Post what you find out, and where you found it, on the Noticeboard in the Study Room.
