1. Extreme sports.
•Do you know of other extreme sports? Describe them.
There are a lot of extreme sports, some examples are:
Canyoning, that basically consists of going down with a neoprene suit over the course of a river, overcoming any obstacles, jumps, drops, and so on.
Benji jumping: jump from a crane attached to an elastic cord.
Free-fall: jump with a parachute from a plane.
And so on…
•Have you ever tried an extreme sport or done a dangerous activity?
Yes.
•If you have, describe your experience.
I've done several times canyoning in the Sierra de Guara (Huesca), rafting and hydrospeed that consists to follow the course of the river on a floating table which you hold yourself.

Canyoning sounds like quite a dangerous sport. What happens if you hit a rock? Do you have to wear a helmet? I once went down a river in a raft and that was scary enough!

Hi eblasco,

I've never practiced extreme sports, but I would like to practice canyoning, like you, what a fantastic experience! But I agree with the administrator, I think that it is necessary to wear a helmet.

Well, I found some information in internet out about extreme sports, and I would like to explain a little about:
1. Base Jumping is very extreme activity that includes a parachute to jump from fixed object, with unopened parachute. The acronym "BASE" stands for: Building, Antenna, Span, Earth, these are four categories of objects from you can jump.
2. Cliff Jumping, it consists on to jump from a cliff to the sea, without any parachute or other protection.
3. Free running, it consist in to run in the city, it is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners, use the city to perform movements through its structures. A type of free running is Parkour, or art of moving.
4. Ice climbing, it is the activity of ascending inclined ice formations (like icefalls, frozen waterfalls)

I hope that this information will be useful and perhaps you will go to practice in the future.

Of course, canyoning is very dangerous if you don't have the appropiate material, like helmet, neopreno suit, ropes, etc.
And if you are a beginner, a good guide who knows the area.
But if you have the opportunity of doing it, don´t doubt it. It's awesome
