DOLPHINS
Dolphins are one of the most inteligent and beautiful criatures of our oceans and rivers. There are many kinds of diferent dolphins, in total 67 especies. Although they have big eyes and a sharp vision they mostly use the “echolocation” to find food. Echolocation is the hability to use their ears to “see” hearing the ecos. Through the echolocation dolphins produce sounds so they can subsequently locate the eco of their sound. Scientist haven’t found yet an evidence of their “real” language. Dolphins and humans have always had a positive relation-ship. They are very kind animals and it is well known how they have helped sailors or swimmers in danger. Dolphins are also used for aquatic therapies giving great results.
Dolphins are very social animals, they live in family groups, these groups can be of one thousand individuals. They live aproximately about 20 years or less
Dolphins inteligence have been used also by the army. In the USA the navy trains dolphins to locate mines, to protect their installations or atack enemies armed forces.
