UNIT 10- ECO-FRIENDY

1. Are you eco-friendly?
• What was your score for the quiz at the beginning of this unit? I scored two point for the quiz at the beginning.
• Why did you get that score? I think that is important to recycle, for two reasons, first to reduce the contamination and second to reduce the energy bills.
• Do you think it's important to be eco-friendly? Is it possible or practicable in your country and living situation? Explain.I live in Sant Just Desvern, here is possible to reduce and recycle de rubbish, because you can separate glass, paper, plastic products and organic products.

My score in the quiz was 2 points. That means I'm trying to be a eco-friendly person.
At home, we try to be as eco-friendly as possible. We wash clothes in cool water, don't overheat or overcool rooms trying to use the solar light to heat the rooms in winter.
We use, when it's possible, energy-efficient bulbs and turn off the lights when we leave a room.
I think it's very important to be eco-friendly to avoid more damage to the planet Earth. But it takes a greater commitment from countries like USA, India, China and the EU. In Spain it's easy to be eco-friendly, if you want, of course.

My score was 1 point. It means I'm eco-friendly, I suppose.
At home we separate rubbish and we try don't waste energy for two reasons economy and ecology.
I think that it's important to be eco-friendly but I suspect that we have a problem with the petrol lobby. I mean that meanwhile petrol was so important it would be difficult to change the situation and maybe it will be necessary a little revolution. For example I saw a documentary where a man explains that it could be possible to generate our own energy in every house or building and sell the extra energy to the energy factories. It supposes an important inversion, we shoult wait to pass that crisis.
