There are alternative energy sources to fossil fuels that are free of pollution and are economical:

-Solar energy: It can be used at home to generate electricity. My country, Spain, is a sunny country and we can make profit of that.
-Ocean energy: In many oceans of the world, you will find large deposits of petroleum and natural gas.
-Hidro energy: Hidro power is produced from the wave energy of sea currents and it can be transformed in electrical energy. The potential energy that there is in the waterfall can be become in electrical energy. In Spain it is used a 15% of this energy to produce electricity.
-Wind energy: It is produced by the wind. The technology that runs with wind energy is old, robust, adaptable and simple.

Recycling really saves energy and resources because it reduces and avoid gases and bad smells. Also, it reduces the high cost of recycling. Consequently, if we recycle we contribute to reduce the damage of the nature.

Greenpeace is one of the most important international environmental organisations. One current campaign of Greenpeace is ‘World Park Antarctica’ whose objective is to keep oil and gas exploration out of Antarctica.

There are other environmental organisations like WWF/ADENA. It is the representation of the ‘World Wild Fund for the Nature’ in Spain that was made up in 1968 and is making a big and effective job of the conservation of the nature. WWF/ADENA works to conservate the biological diversity and stop the pollution, respecting seas, coasts, forests.
