Good morning.
1. The experiment that you have to ask our friends and relatives to draw a picture of some jobs and see if their pictures are males or females is not possible to do in Spain, neither in Catalonia. In Spanish, so in Catalan, the adjectives, such as the jobs names, are different for the differents genders. You can say truck driver reffering to a man or a woman just by changing the termination. Because of that, when you purpose a job to someone to draw, you are saying the gender so he/she can draw it correctly. You give more specific information in every word.
2. In Spain the most common jobs for the last years has been the ones related to the building construction. But because of the world economy crisis this is changing. That kind of jobs are falling down in number. And I think the ones related to the tourism are mantainig its importance, so they are nowadays the more extended kind of jobs.
3. Gender gap inearnings is the situation within a man is earnig more money than a woman in the same working conditions. Traditionally physical jobs are more related to man and the ones related to medic are fuller of woman.
