Posted: Mon Mar 15, 2010 2:54 pmI was named after a saint: Saint Joachim, who was the husband of Saint Anne. So, he was the father of Mary and the grandfather of Jesus. Tradition says that he and Anne received a message from an angel that Anne was pregnant. Joaquim and Anne were very old and they weren’t able to have a baby; so the notice was a big shock for them.
On the other hand, when I type my name (first and last name) in Google I discover 3 Quim Vila’s on internet. There is another one who is a little clever than me, because he is a professor in Strategic Management and director of IESE (a Business School in Barcelona). There’s a famous one who writes and sings pop music and appears on Catalan TV programmes. Another one, loves wines, and runs a gourmet shop in Passeig de Gràcia; he also has one of the most important Spanish distributors and importer of quality wines.
To sum up, I have a catholic first name and on internet there are 3 others Quim Vila’s, who loves their work and they have success. I hope I’ll have the same lucky as they!!
