1. Animal helping humans.
How do (or did) animals help humans? Write six sentences. For example:
Sniffer dogs enable police and customs officers to find drugs.
Here are some ideas:
• Guide dogs help blind people to walk on the street.
• Sheepdogs help shepherd to control the herd.
• Since the old times horses have helped humans making their life easier.
• The people who live at desert are helped by camels.
• At India elephants help people to transport them to other places.
• Spiders help to control plague of other animals.
• Silk-worms help people producing silk.
2. Being helped to do things.
Write about something you couldn't do once and that you have been helped to do. Use expressions from LISTENING:
I started to smoke when I was 15 years old. I gave up smoking because my girlfriend doesn’t smoke and she exercises two or three days a week, I really didn’t care to leave the cigarette but when I started to exercise with her, I had to give up smoking. I’m very happy because now I’m going to be a father and I don’t smoke any more.
