Years ago differences between men and women were bigger than today, although, without any doubt, many women have problems to get specifical job, these ones which are reserved only for men, in some cases because of their phisical conditions, like miners, lorry drivers, fishers..., and in another cases because of responsability of the tasks, for example a general directormust spend many hours in the work but if you are a woman and have a family, it´s presumed you can´t do it, so if there is a man for the same task, usually he is prefered.
Even if a woman gets an important professional position it´s probably she earn less than her male mate for the same tasks. But we must overcome this discrimination if we want grew up economically.

The word gender gap means the difference in the amount of money women versus men doing the same job.
I'm interested in this subject, so I looked for information on the net, and I found an article which tells us that women are clustered in low-paid occupational categories and for this reason, women have a lower salary. The same article explains that if most women moved into jobs that are now male-dominated, signs are that the salaries associated with those jobs would likely drop. For this reason, "the forces of discrimination" ensure that most women don’t move into such jobs. Interesting, isn't it?
Referring to the examples of men doing jobs that were previously considered to be women’s jobs and vice versa, we can state that nowadays there are lots of men who work as nurses and teachers and lots of women who work as doctors, polices and taxi drivers.
