Sherlock Holmes

Sherlock Holmes is a fiction character who was created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in 1887. Holmes was the main character of a collection of 4 detective stories and 60 fiction tales.
Holmes was a private investigator who was very famous and when SIr Doyle asked if there was real S. Holmes, always mantained that Holmes was inspired by Dr. Joseph Bell, for whom Doyle had worked as a clerk at the Edimburg Royal Infirmary.
Historically, Holmes lived from the year 1881 at 221 Baker Street of London, a flat up seventeen steps, where he shared many of his professional years with his good friend Dr. Watson.
