Unit 4 Chat_about my home

I live in a condo in La Jolla, a residential area in Northern San Diego (California). This area is plenty of apartments and condominiums like mine, always inside urbanization with a name like “La Jolla del Sol”, “La Jolla Gardens” or similar. Here is pretty different from my home country Spain, where most of people live in flats.

The condo where I live has two floors and also a garage and a little garden. Downstairs we have one bathroom, the kitchen and a big salon with too much light, a fireplace and a terrace. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. Also in the community we have a swimming pool and a hot tub, but I hardly ever use them.

Most of the neighborhoods in the area have also tennis courts and gym, but not mine.

This kind of houses there are not typical in the Spanish cities, but maybe began to be it in some parts of countryside. But here the concept of the space is different and everything is bigger.

Being sincere I don’t like living here at all. It is a place where if you don’t have a car you can’t do anything, you are totally limited. If you go out to the street there is no anything. If you want buy something or have a coffee you must take the bus and go to a mall. I don’t like this kind of way of live.

I will not change anything at home because fortunately I am coming back to Spain in two months.

Do you live in a different place? How is your place?
